The Peer Exchange
Our community is built on trust, professionalism, and mutual support. These guidelines help us maintain a safe, respectful space for social workers to share knowledge and grow together.
⚠️ Protecting Patient Privacy is Non-Negotiable
Protected Health Information (PHI) must NEVER be shared. Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may have legal consequences.
This community is for professional development and peer support. Never share names, initials, specific birthdays, or identifying case details in messages or community forums. Use generalities only: "I'm working with a 40-year-old male with housing instability," rather than "I'm working with a guy from the 4th Street shelter."
We are here to uplift. Harassment, discrimination, or derogatory language toward peers will result in immediate removal. Disagreements on clinical approaches are welcome; personal attacks are not.
Users are encouraged to share their general location and area of expertise to help build a local referral network. Do not impersonate other clinicians or organizations.
Advice shared in this community is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute formal clinical supervision or legal advice. Always defer to your state's licensing board and your agency's specific policies.
If you see a post that accidentally contains patient information, use the "Flag for Privacy" button immediately so the admin can redact it.

First Violation
Warning and required review of this Code of Conduct
Second Violation
Temporary suspension (7-30 days) and required consultation with admin
Severe or Repeated Violations
Permanent removal from the community
PHI Breaches
Immediate account suspension, potential legal action, and notification of relevant authorities
