Content Moderation & Safety

Work Social ACTIVELY moderates ALL user-generated content:

  • ✅ **24-Hour Response Time**: All flagged content reviewed within 24 hours
  • ✅ **Immediate Action**: Violating content removed, offending users banned
  • ✅ **Automated + Human Review**: AI filters + trained moderators
  • ✅ **User Blocking**: Mechanism to block abusive users
  • ✅ **Content Filtering**: Automated filters for prohibited content
  • ✅ **Transparent Appeals**: Appeal bans via Settings → Contact Us

🚨 Repeat offenders = PERMANENT BAN. No exceptions.

📋 Terms Agreement (EULA)

By using Work Social, you ACTIVELY AGREE to:

  • **ZERO TOLERANCE** for objectionable content (CSAM, hate speech, harassment, threats, PHI violations)
  • Immediate account termination for violations
  • Our right to remove content and ban users without prior warning
  • Full compliance with Terms of Service

⚠️ By registering, you acknowledge: "I understand Work Social has zero tolerance for objectionable content. Violations will result in immediate permanent ban."

🔍 Content Filtering System

Automated Filters:

  • Keyword detection for prohibited content (profanity, slurs, threats)
  • Image scanning for CSAM and graphic violence (via AI)
  • Spam detection and prevention
  • PHI pattern recognition (SSN, DOB, medical IDs)

Manual Review:

  • All flagged content reviewed by trained moderators
  • Random sampling of posts for quality assurance
  • User reports prioritized for immediate review

🚩 How to Flag Content

3 Easy Ways to Report Violations:

  1. **Flag Button**: Tap the flag icon (🚩) on ANY post, comment, job, resource, or spot
  2. **Report Page**: Visit Report Content and describe the issue
  3. **Direct Email**: solosees.work.social@gmail.com

⏱️ All reports reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent threats reviewed immediately.

🚫 Blocking Abusive Users

You have IMMEDIATE control to block users:

  • **Block Button**: Click "Block User" on any post or comment
  • **Instant Effect**: Blocked users' content disappears from your feed immediately
  • **Manage Blocks**: View and unblock users in Settings → Account & Privacy → Blocked Users
  • **Privacy**: Blocked users are NOT notified and cannot see your content
  • **No Interaction**: Blocked users cannot message, comment, or interact with you

💡 TIP: Block first, report second. Protect yourself immediately, then flag for moderator review.

🤖 AI Content Safety System

Real-Time AI Protection:

  • **Live Feedback**: AI analyzes your content as you type, providing immediate safety alerts
  • **Pre-Post Screening**: All posts/comments automatically checked before submission
  • **Smart Detection**: AI identifies hate speech, PHI violations, threats, and harmful content
  • **User Guidance**: Get suggestions to make your content safer and more appropriate
  • **Automatic Flagging**: High-risk content immediately sent to moderators for review

💡 The AI is here to help! If you see a warning, revise your content before posting to avoid moderation issues.

🚫 Strictly Prohibited Content

The following will result in immediate content removal and account termination:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any content depicting or promoting child exploitation
  • Threats of Violence: Threats to harm yourself or others, including suicide threats
  • Illegal Activity: Promoting, soliciting, or coordinating illegal acts
  • PHI Violations: Sharing others' Protected Health Information without consent (names, DOB, medical records, SSN)
  • Impersonation: Falsely claiming to be a licensed professional or another person
  • Spam/Commercial Advertising: Unsolicited advertising or spam (unless pre-approved)
  • Hate Speech: Content promoting violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.
  • Harassment/Bullying: Targeted harassment, doxxing, or cyberbullying
  • Graphic Violence: Gratuitous gore or violence not relevant to professional discussion
  • Sexual Content: Pornography or sexually explicit material

⚠️ Use with Caution

  • De-identified Case Discussions: Remove ALL identifying information (even initials)
  • Political Content: Keep it relevant to social work and respectful
  • Sensitive Topics: Trauma, abuse, substance use - discuss professionally and with trigger warnings
  • Medical/Mental Health Advice: General education only - never diagnose or treat via this app

📋 Professional Responsibility

As social work professionals, we expect you to:

  • Follow your licensing board's code of ethics (NASW Code of Ethics)
  • Never provide clinical services through this platform
  • Protect client confidentiality at all times
  • Report suspected child abuse/neglect to proper authorities (not just on this app)
  • Maintain professional boundaries in all interactions

🔒 Privacy & Confidentiality

  • NEVER post client names, DOB, SSN, medical records, addresses, or identifying details
  • Use pseudonyms or remove all identifiers when discussing cases
  • Assume all posts are public and permanent
  • This app is NOT HIPAA compliant - do not store PHI here

🚨 Crisis Resources

This app is NOT for crisis intervention. If you or someone else is in danger:

  • Call 911 for immediate danger

⚖️ Consequences for Violations

First Offense (minor): Warning and content removal

Second Offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)

Third Offense: Permanent ban

Severe Violations: Immediate permanent ban (no warnings)

Severe violations include: CSAM, threats of violence, doxxing, hate speech, sharing PHI, or illegal activity.

🚨 DEVELOPER COMMITMENT: Objectionable content reports will be acted upon within 24 hours by removing the content and permanently ejecting the user who provided the offending content.
